PARENT ADVISORY/SUPPORT COMMITTEE
The Pickaway County Family and Children First Council Parent Advisory/Support Committee keeps the council informed on current needs of families and children in Pickaway County and helps guide policy and program development. The group also serves as a resource for information and support for other parents in the community with similar concerns. Members can become representatives on the Family and Children First Council and the Parent Advisory/Support Committee’s Chairperson serves on the Council Executive Committee.

The Parent Advisory/Support Committee is diverse and invites:
-Parents of children with special needs
-Parents of children with exceptional talents and skills
-Parents of typical children
-Grandparents raising grandchildren
-Foster parents
-Adoptive parents
-Members of the community who have a strong interest and commitment to families and children
Meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month at the
Pickaway County YMCA. Childcare is provided in the Family Activity Center.
