WHAT
IS PARTNERSHIPS FOR SUCCESS?
PfS is an operating system that offers tools and procedures for identifying and
prioritizing critical community issues and managing the investment of resources
to address those issues. PfS is an expansion of the federal Comprehensive
Strategy program governed by the U.S. Juvenile Justice and Delinquency
Prevention Office.
WHY:
To help us build the capacity of our county to prevent and respond effectively
to youth behavior problems while promoting positive youth development. We can
work together to support youth and families with services to ensure they are
successful in life.
HOW:
1. Involving and engaging the entire community in planning, implementing, and
evaluating.
2. Balancing a
holistic continuum of services so that services are available for individuals of
all ages, races, geographic areas, and intensity of need.
3. Make
data-informed decisions to determine needs, prioritize efforts, and evaluate the
progress of PfS.
WHO:
The Pickaway County Family and Children First Council has received a two year
grant from the State of Ohio. Agencies and organizations addressing the needs
of children and youth should participate to offer a variety of perspectives as
we implement a comprehensive approach to result in a healthy and positive
community for children and families.
