The Circleville Preschool Program offers flexibility in serving three to five year old children with disabilities as best meets the needs of the child and the family. Options may include:

1. Preschool Classroom Setting. This program is designed to serve up to eight children with disabilities along with Head Start student peers. Here children learn together within an age and individually appropriate curriculum. The daily routine encourages independence and cooperation, problem solving, observation, social and emotional skills, communication, self help, art, music, and small and large motor skills. Children are supported in learning at their own rate. Individual plans promote family involvement and cooperation between programs to insure successful transition to school.

2. Home or Other Program Consultation. Certified professionals may provide direct instruction or consult with families and professionals within a variety of settings. Special services like speech, OT or PT, as well as consultation from the preschool disabilities teacher may occur within any setting that is appropriate for the child and the family as defined through an individual educational plan.

Referrals for evaluation are accepted at anytime. Enrollment eligibility is determined through the multifactored evaluation process or Head Start enrollment.
