ENROLLMENT: 244 children ages 3-5 years old (212 Federal slots)
CLASS SIZE: 12-20 (class size differs with location and program option)

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Center Base Program. Children enrolled attend either a morning or
afternoon class of 3 1/2 hours a day, Monday through Thursday. The
program supports the physical, social, intellectual and creative aspects
of each child’s growth and development. This program option operates
nine months of the year, September-May.
Full Day Head Start and Early Learning Initiative (ELI) Enrollment is an
option primarily for families with parents who are working or attending
school. Enrollment can occur any time throughout the year, provided
there are openings. Full Day is subsidized through Job & Family Services
and/or parent co-pay fees support costs. Full day services are available
to 36 children at the Circleville or Ashville Head Start Centers. Hours
of operation are Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM twelve months a year.
ELI eligibility is determined by Child Care Choices (474-1602).
OTHER SERVICES: Dental examinations, vision, hearing, speech,
developmental screenings and follow-up are provided to children in all
program options. Family needs are supported through direct services or
referrals. Transportation is provided for the Center Based part day
option. Nutritious meals and snacks are provided and served family
style.
